Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region

With the second largest population and economy in France with its 7.8 millions inhabitants and a GDP of 240 billion EUROs the region is also a leader in Europe.

 

It's leadership position is formed by 450,000 companies creating 3.2 million jobs with 500,000 these being industrial jobs in sectors such as metallurgy, plastics, electronics, IT, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, aeronautics, textiles and chemicals.

 

he region's ability to innovate is driven by several leading universities and technical institutes, fourteen competitiveness clusters and eighteen regional clusters contribute to the emergence of innovative projects in theses sectors, especially in creative and digital industries.

 

Very open towards the international, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region has created a large innovation network with other territories in Europe and all over the world. The Region now supports international projects, encourages the mobility of its citizens – especially the youth – and supports regional businesses in the export of their skills.
